IT FUN PEOPLE Renames Web Money Service Coiny to Cretee

- Strategic rebranding after eight years of service
- More than 280 million cumulative transactions and 1.4 million registered users
- Expanding beyond Web Money into a broader digital payment ecosystem
IT FUN PEOPLE (President & CEO Seiji Otaki, hereinafter "IFP") today announced that its prepaid Web Money service Coiny has been officially rebranded as Cretee, marking the beginning of a new phase in the company's digital payment strategy.
Since its launch in 2015, Coiny has grown into a trusted prepaid Web Money platform for digital content and online services. Over the past eight years, the service has processed more than 280 million transactions and attracted over 1.4 million registered users, establishing itself as one of the reliable Web Money services in the market.
According to IFP, the rebranding represents more than a simple name change. It reflects the company's vision of expanding the service from a prepaid Web Money product into a broader digital payment platform capable of supporting various online services, digital commerce, subscription businesses, gaming, and creator ecosystems.
The newly introduced Cretee brand will continue to provide all existing Coiny services, including wallet management, payment processing, balance management, transaction history, merchant settlement, and API integration. Existing user accounts, balances, transaction records, and merchant integrations will remain unchanged, allowing both consumers and merchants to continue using the service without interruption.
Cretee will also maintain its merchant-friendly operating model, including next-business-day settlement, transparent pricing starting from 2.8% depending on business category, and a fee structure without hidden transaction processing charges or additional system usage fees.
Seiji Otaki, President & CEO of IFP, said, "Over the past eight years, Coiny has earned the trust of both users and merchants through reliable service and stable operations. With Cretee, we are taking the next step toward building a broader digital payment ecosystem that connects users, merchants, and online services."
IFP plans to further expand Cretee's partnerships with digital content providers, gaming companies, online communities, subscription platforms, and e-commerce businesses while continuing to strengthen its position as a trusted digital payment platform.
